I'm not a Habs fan but I like what they are doing with the pieces they added. I still feel they are missing a number 1 Centre.

Buffalo trades - Eichel

Montreal trades - Kokaniemi, Caufield, 2021 1st rounder and 2022 2nd rounder.

Thoughts on trade?

Too much! they now can win with what they have or at least go very far. Many teams have a # 1 centre and precious little else. Habs now have balance!

It won't fit the cap. To land PLD the Habs need to send back a 3M+ player like Byron to fit him under the cap.

To add a 10M player guts the team too much, plus the fact Buffalo would want a HUGE haul to even consider changing course and moving Eichel.
