There won’t be any three way trade, amd winnipegs asking price from Montreal may have went abit. He signed 1 year for 6 million which makes it easier for Montreal to work him in the cap, and there will have to be atleast one roster player plus another roster player Montreal has to dump salary either dadonov or Hoffman, but dadonov makes more sense cause he only has one year left. Plus a first round pick, plus a decent prospect. Maybe another low draft pick. But there will be a conditional 1 round pick thrown in when he signs eight contract extension. He only want to play for Montreal. Now look at what Florida gave up for tzechuk. It’s going to be where Winnipeg starts out at a similar asking price. But keep in mind dubois if he is traded to Montreal isn’t going to be signing for more than 8 million, I wouldn’t be surprised if he signed wi th Montreal for 6.5 million. He’s going to be making huge endorsements playing in Montreal. As long as Caufield Suzuki amd salfovsky isn’t in the trade who cares what they give up. Look at it this way. You could have 2 good roster players if he signed for that, instead of having one Mathew’s or one mcdavid. Toronto will never win they pay Mathew’s marner and Taveres almost have of there salary cap. Here’s an easy way to look at it. You could have Dubois and huberadeau walk from Calgary next season for less money than than paying mcdavid. Mcdavid put up 123 but those two combined for had 175 points. This is just an example. Two players like that playing on the same team could put up over 200 points combined.
