Anyone know how the talent is split in the draft? From the mock drafts I’m seeing it looks to be 1, 2-3, 4-8, 9-16. Am I way off in saying up to around pick 16 is top 10 talent? Maybe even pick 18 if any slide.

Unlikely trade but you can only hope.

Thoughts on the cost to move up and if that’s a deal Montreal would be interested in.
Also I’m aware the Oil would need to drop cap. Might have to be in another trade or potentially added to this one.

Bad contract swap. Lucic has the slightly worse contract with an extra year and an extra million. But he’s the better player so I’m not sure if the Oilers would have to add. Also Lucic said he was open to a trade and Montreal pushed hard for him two years ago.

Montreal doesn’t have much depth on the left wing, especially after Pacioretty is gone so Lucic would be a good addition. Shaw has played center right? Could be a good right shot 4th center for the Oil.
