Kulak and a 4th to Boston for a 2nd.

A 4th and and two 5ths to Seattle to take Byron in expansion draft after this season.

Gives Habs 7 picks in first 3 rounds and clear some needed cap space for next year while ensuring they don't lose any key pieces of roster

Habs should never trade with their natural rival.

That said, I'd like to go with a 22 man roster to manage their cap space. Injuries always happen, and he was good in the playoffs.

If they don't trade a Defenceman they will lose one on waivers for nothing when season starts. Not a lot of teams that need left defenceman.

MTL doesn't have to trade anyone. They can maintain a roster of 22 instead of 23 and be cap compliant.

How do they maintain a roster of 22 and not expose Juulson or Mete to waivers. They can't carry 22 and not expose a defenceman.
