NYR - Lafreniere
MTL - Chiarot, Lehkonen

Why it makes sense :

- For NYR, they need at stable blueline presence to solidify their top 4 and a versatile 3rd line forward that plays a more defensive game than Lafreniere. Considering the fact that both players are rumoured to be shopped around for a late first, those two pieces might be what they need to get far in the playoffs, even if you're potentially losing a promising player that unfortunately doesn't have a spot on your top 6.

- For MTL, Lafreniere is still very young, with lots of upside. Might be somewhat of a gamble even Lafreniere doesn't pan out in contrast to simply acquiring two late 1st from different teams for both Chiarot and Lehkonen

Lafrenière is a one albeit dimensional player. Can only really plat one position. surrounded by the right people, he could be great! With St Louis he might work out. Habs cannot give away a battleship for possibly a rowboat! At the right price, go for it!

They would want Chariot more then Petry and I think they would want a lot more. I love Lehkonen but Habs make this trade in heartbeat. Even if Lafraniere ends up middle 6 winger it is a good deal.

I read so many trade proposals like moving our players and looking to get like Sean monahan, or Kevin Hayes. Like don't people know the habs are looking to rebuild, don't need any overpriced players back, if that was case we could keep what we got. ok having said that I have thought about what we could package to get Lafreniere, he doesn't seem to be fitting in with Rangers, and Rangers are at a point now where they could give up young talent to make a run at the cup, Solid stay at home like Chiarot, and a solid 3rd liner, pk specialist could help push them in right direction. If I were looking to get him, I would go a little bigger trade and add Georgiev. just my thoughts we need a solid goalie as I feel Price may be moved in off Season, and I think Allen could be moved at deadline.

Armchair, if Price can play, I agree he'll be moved. I think there's a better chance that he is forced into retirement by injuries.

I don't think Price wants to go anywhere yet. When he plays it will be for the Habs.
