Offseason trade idea before the draft , habs trade for Gino malkin
MTL sends : both 2nd round picks 2025 ( Pittsburgh and Montreal) and Sean farrel
To Pittsburgh for malkin 50% retained ( cap hit would be 3 million
Then on draft night that move convinces Crosby to accept trade to mtll
MTL sends : both 2025 1st round, dach, heinemen and Mailloux
To Pittsburgh for Crosby
Slavkosky Suzuki Caufield
Demidov Crosby laine or Newhook
Gallagher malkin laine or Newhook

It's Letang that wants to come to Montreal. He will be in a package deal with Crosby this summer. Dach, Mailoux a couple prospects and picks and it's a done deal. My source tells me it's in the works. Unfortunately my source is just my over active imagination. I just feel like it has to happen and all of hockey will be better for it.

The time for habs to end rebuild is this offseason and the next
Habs already got core forwards locked up
Suzuki, Caufield , slavkosky, probably superstar Demidov
Core defence : guhle , reinbacher , seems like superstar Hutson , xhejaj
Goalie : montembaut and potential superstar Fowler
This offseason I would trade price last year of contract to Chicago, which would give habs 25 million in cap space , with that I would target Duchene and Bennett at free agency
I would try and trade for Dobson at the draft

MTL sends both 2025 1st round, Dach and Mesar
To buffalo for Tage Thompson
Buffalo gives themselves 3 1st round (top 20)
1st round prospect (mesar) and a project with potential upside (Dach) and gives that a better shot at drafting Mckenna next year by getting rid of their best forward
Montreal gets a legit 2c superstar at 7.14 for next 5 years
