With Pit imo looking for a full rebuild this would be the talk of the off-season if this could happen, Malkin isn't going to waive his NTC but maybe Crosby does, Pens really only have 2 trade chips worth anything and that's Crosby and Karlsson and this is something I really believes helps both Teams going forward.

Montreal and Toronto rarely make trades with each other but what each team would be looking at this proposal makes sense imo.

This is a Cap Trade to clear out over 7.5m for The Leafs on LTIR loophole, to retain 110k is really nothing for Montreal but huge for Toronto to not be over The Cap.
